PhD Title: Assessing managerial sensemaking processes of businesses with biodiversity issues

Patrick Oko Quaye is a PhD student in Management studies at the University of Exeter. His research aims to comprehend how business managers make sense of the dynamic and complicated issues surrounding biodiversity in their business operations.

Patrick’s passion for corporate sustainability is evident in his academic journey. He obtained his master’s degree in Environmental Policy specializing in Environment and Sustainability at Sciences Po – Paris School of International Affairs in France. Patrick placed second in the Spring 2022 European chair for Sustainable Development and Climate Transition Essay Competition on the topic Why Geoengineering to stay under 2 degrees Celsius should be stopped which is available online. Prior to receiving his master’s degree, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Management) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

As a highly motivated and dedicated researcher, Patrick is committed to developing innovative and practical solutions for businesses to embed biodiversity renewal in their business activities which drove him to join the RENEW Team
