Claire Collins is a social scientist focusing primarily on marine policy and management issues. She specialises in applied socio-ecological research and often adopts mixed-methods approaches by working in interdisciplinary teams. Her recent work has focused on human dimensions of illegal fishing, human-wildlife conflict and understanding consumer demand and behaviour to enhance conservation success. She has experience working internationally and, in the UK, where she has focused on issues such as place-based governance, democratising conservation and health and wellbeing in UK fisheries. She holds an Associate Researcher position at Zoological Society of London and an Honorary lectureship at the University of Exeter.
