A biologist and chemist by training, Noel Morrin held for more than thirty years, senior executive and C-suite roles focused on Sustainability in British, Finnish and Swedish corporations with leading international positions in forest products & packaging, construction & property development, heavy building materials, chemicals and environmental consultancy.
Noel held positions of trust in the World Business Council for Sustainable Development with influential roles in the Cement Sustainability Initiative, The Energy Efficiency in Buildings Initiative and the Forest Solutions Group of which he was co-chair. For the UN Environment Programme, he co-chaired the Greening the Building Supply Chain project under its Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative.
He was a steering group member of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Project that produced the UNGC Land, Real Estate and Construction sector best practice guide. Early in his career Noel Morrin was Director of the British non-profit Business in the Environment (BiE) and also Director of the National Environmental Technology Centre during the restructuring of the UK Atomic Energy Authority (AEA) and subsequent privatisation of its non-nuclear business.
