Details: Biodiversity per se is valuable. But understanding which aspects of biodiversity should be prioritised is extremely difficult. This question is central in numerous arenas of decision-making; from setting government policy and regulation to the way in which voluntary financial disclosures should be made. We (Prof Ben Groom and Dr Ben Balmford; University of Exeter) are therefore conducting a choice experiment to understand which aspects of biodiversity are valuable to:

1) The general public 2) financial investors and 3) experts in biodiversity and conservation.

Participation takes about 30 minutes. The study is open to University of Exeter biodiversity, conservation and ecology PhD students, postdocs and faculty and will be conducted in the Environment and Sustainability Institute, Penryn, Cornwall.

Time slots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis from 1000-1500 on Wednesday 10^th and Thursday 11^th May.

(Please bring your own laptop, there will only be a limited number of laptops available to use on the day).

While there is no payment for participating, refreshments will be available, and we will make a small donation to conservation charities for each participant. The study has received ethics approval from the University of Exeter Business School.
